Environment-Friendly Olive Groves

Palacio de Los Olivos is a family business dedicated to the production of high-quality extra virgin olive oil, made from 100% PICUAL, ARBEQUINA and ARBOSANA olives.

Its sustainable and environment-friendly olive groves and own oil mill are located in the region of Campo de Calatrava, in the town of Almagro, in the province of Ciudad Real, Castile-La Mancha, Spain.

Palacio de Los Olivos uses only healthy and fresh green olives, harvested very early in the season, to extract the oil – that is what we called “liquid gold.” These olives come from its own olive groves, and have not been genetically modified.

Its agronomists oversee and manage the nutrients that it uses in each stage of growth of the olive trees and olives. Its olive oil is free of chemical synthesis products, which is always confirmed by the lab analysis of the external laboratories. Therefore, although it does not have the organic certificate because Palacio de Los Olivos has not requested it, its extra virgin olive oil is definitely 100% natural.

From Trees to Olive Oil

Palacio de Los Olivos has committed to harvest its olives in its own farm within three weeks from the start of the harvesting season – spanning from mid October to mid November, then that is it. This quality commitment ensures that its olive oil can maintain the same organoleptic profile every season.

Cold extraction of olives to olive oil is always performed within few hours of collection, which has made its olive oil full of green-fruity flavours and easy on the palate. In general, the olive oil has aromas of green herbs with notes of green fruits, in turn, which makes its olive oil unique and stand-out – Yes, we are talking about great taste!

Volcanic Olive Oils

The three varieties of olives, PICUAL, ARBOSANA and ARBEQUINA are grown and harvested in sustainable & environmentally-friendly olive groves on lands of nutrients-rich volcanic origin. PICUAL: This is a very green, fruity, and fragrant olive oil with notes of aromatic herbs, tomato plant, and leafy greens, and balanced bitterness and spiciness. ARBOSANA: It is a smooth and fruity-green olive oil, with medium intensity, and balanced bitterness and spiciness. Once you have tried it, you will want to use it again and again! Sure thing!
ARBEQUINA: It is smooth and fruity like Arbosana, except it is more delicate and mild. Its has fruity-green notes, reminiscence of apple, banana, and green grass. Chefs love it, use it in their culinary preparation, so will your children too, love it, surely!
